Rumble In The Jumble

Just a heads up that I’m going to be hosting a stall AND DJing at Rumble in The Jumble down at the lovely Prohibition Bar in Gateshead this Sunday afternoon.

I’m going to be selling literally hundreds of records, CDs, DVDs, books, comics, tshirts, belt buckles and such, at often knockdown prices.

The CDs are from when I used them to DJ so I have hundreds of soul, R&B, country, blues, garage, rockabilly and jazz CDs. They’re mostly in plastic wallets rather than their cases, and many don’t have their sleeves, which is why I’m selling them for £1-2!

So come down to Prohibition, buy some stuff, drink some booze, meet good folks. Sorted.

How To Get Ahead In Advertising

We’ve got a nice big ad in the forthcoming issue of NARC. Magazine for both the Jumpin’ On The Terrace gig (July 9th) and Jumpin’ With Stagger Lee at Ernest on July 22nd. We’ve decided to make Jumpin’ On The Terrace a fairly loose affair with guests including Rob Heron, Alex Johnson, Ethan McDermott, Billy Lyre and more popping along to play a few tunes, while Alex is also going to be the guest selecter at Ernest.

White Lightnin’

Billy-Bootleggers[1]

Billy Bootleggers is a brand new Toon centre bar – hard by Grainger Street Market underneath Bar 28 on Nelson Street – based on a vintage American dive bar.  It looks great in there, the booze is high quality and judging by recent appearances, so are the bands.

And I’m going to be playing some records down there from time to time, starting with a double whammy this bank holiday weekend (Friday 26th and Saturday 27th) from about 11pm when the bands finish till about 2am when we all get thrown out.

Come down, entry is free and it’ll be good times
